Supporting a Forgotten Population: Foster Care Youth Transitions in Erie County

The current poor outcomes for foster care alumni should be urgently addressed by all partners invested in the outcomes of young people in Buffalo and Erie County. Foster care alumni should receive the resources, skills training, and assistance they need to live full and successful lives without the support of a family safety net. They were brought into the care of Erie County and New York State as children, and they deserve continued care and support as they become adults.
