If advocacy burnout goes unaddressed, it can harm both the well-being of individuals and the sustainability of the movement.

Burnout is a psychological condition that develops as a result of chronic stress, often related to working in positions with a high level of interpersonal interaction. People working in helping professions, and Social Justice and Human Rights activists are especially susceptible to burnout. This guide offers strategies for preventing and addressing advocacy burnout. Useful tools, exercises, and local resources are included to support caring for yourself and others.
