Join us on The Public Good! Our guests this week are Frontline Arts Buffalo Members Heather Gring (Locust Street Arts Board Member and Archivist at the Burchfield Penney) and Bryan Lee (Curator, El Museo Gallery). Frontline Arts Buffalo advocates for artists and arts organization to ensure environmental, economic and social justice for underrepresented community members in the area. We will talk through some of the groups current activities, and discuss some similarities and differences between the arts landscape in Buffalo and other major cities. “Equitable and Sustained Funding of Frontline Arts Communities” is one of PPG’s Community Agenda priorities for the year. We discuss how Frontline Arts Buffalo hopes to ensure that artists impacted most by climate, economic and racial injustice have adequate and consistent access to funding.
