FAB Forums is a series of community conversations examining the past, present, and future of frontline arts institutions in our city.
At FAB Forums, you are invited to join Frontline Arts Buffalo in conversation on the following questions: What is the role and purpose of frontline arts organizations in our communities? How has your life been shaped by what we do? What is the value of our work? How can we bring about a more vibrant, equitable, and sustainable future?
In the coming months, Frontline Arts Buffalo wants to gather your stories and memories of our institutions, in order to better document and celebrate our history. Do you have memorabilia from a FAB institution that is special to you? Or simply a great story to tell? Come share it with us at FAB Forums! There will opportunities to document your items and record your stories at each event.
FAB Forum 1 takes place Thursday, March 21st from 6pm-8pm at El Museo (91 Allen St).
This event is hosted by Frontline Arts Buffalo, a collaborative action research project initiated by four of Buffalo’s frontline arts and cultural organizations: the African American Cultural Center, Locust Street Art, Ujima Company, and El Museo. The four are institutions who have served communities of color and low-income communities since their founding. They kick off their work in Buffalo publicly with this series.
