Climate & Community Protection Act: Sprint to the Finish

It is crunch time to #PASSTHECCPA! Now is the time to get the Climate and Community Protection Act over the finish line to win a sustainable, equitable future for New York.

We can win:

  • A renewable future free of fossil fuels
  • Direct investment into communities most vulnerable to climate change
  • Hundreds of thousands of good, green jobs

The legislative session ends on June 18 and so on June 11th, hundreds of activists from across the state will descend on Albany to declare that it is time to pass a strong CCPA. The event comes at a critical time the week before the end of the legislative session. The day will run from 11:30am-2:30pm and we will rally to turn up the heat on Governor Cuomo as well as key legislators delaying action on this critical climate justice legislation. 100 people from Buffalo will attend, and you can be one of them! Transportation and lunch will be provided.

Schedule for the day:

11:30AM —  Buses arrive (For those driving or coming from the Capital District: Meet 11:00 State Street Side, State Capitol)

11:30-12:30pm— Kick off the day with an exciting twist on a rally calling on Governor Cuomo to step up and be a real climate leader (Location: War Room)

12:30pm-1:30pm — Visit key legislative targets to help push the CCPA over the finish line (exact location tbd)

1:30-2:30pm —  Lunch and get plugged into the last week of action!

2:30pm — Buses depart for home
