Join us on The Public Good this week! We’ll hear from some of the 2019 High Road Fellows: Emily Blanchard (Assemblymember Sean Ryan’s Office), Yu An Chen (Western New York Law Center and Buffalo Niagara Community Reinvestment Coalition), Jack Millar (WNYLC and BNCRC), Laura Holland (PPG), Valerie Weisbeck (PPG), and Sherell Farmer (Center for Employment Opportunities). They’ll be discussing some projects they’ve been working on over the past month and a half, as well as things they’ve discovered and learned throughout their summer fellowship experience.
Since 2009, the High Road Fellowship Program has provided opportunities for Cornell undergraduate students to participate as a group in research, engaged learning, and serve in community-based economic development in Buffalo. During the fellowship, students are exposed to the story of the region through immersive programming. And, every Friday students participate in the city life of Buffalo with neighborhood walking tours, field trips, and cultural experiences; meetings with guest experts and civic leaders; and sharing weekly journals, project experiences, and research.
To hear from these fellows, tune in live on Power 96.5 WNY at 10pm, and on PPG’s Facebook page at 1pm Tuesday, July 16th. You won’t want to miss it!
