Join us on The Public Good. This week’s guests are Jaela Williams, Program Director, and Rachel Van Alstine, Staff Trainer, at the Western New York Council on Occupational Safety and Health (WNYCOSH).
WNYCOSH provides worker safety and health trainings to thousands of workers in the Western New York area. In this episode they’ll discuss the dozens of available training topics, ranging from workplace ergonomics to asbestos awareness to power tool safety and more.
The WNYCOSH Worker Center benefits workers, especially low-wage immigrant, refugee, temporary workers, and native-born, to learn about their rights and organize fellow workers to improve workplace conditions. The Worker Hotline can be reached at 716-206-3555 and is available in 14 languages.
Listen in on Tuesdays at 10:30 am on POWER 96.5 FM or MIX 1080 AM, or watch the video on our Facebook page.
