Join us on The Public Good, airing every Tuesday at 7pm on POWER 96.5 FM and MIX 1080 AM, and live every Tuesday at 1pm on PPG's Facebook! This week, we'll be speaking with Kari Winter, Judy Scales-Trent, and Regina Mason from UB's Reclaiming Our Ancestors conference. Kari, Judy, and Regina will discuss the Humanities Institute conference being held this weekend, at which acclaimed scholars and activists will discuss how to democratize our imaginative, intellectual, artistic, and public landscapes through the inclusion of diverse histories. Descendants of prominent 18th- and 19th-century African American antislavery activists will partner with scholars to promote and produce African American history through multiple media. Activists, artists, and scholars will discuss their work in racial justice, city planning, and community-building. Check out PPG's interview here.
