Remembering a Waterfront Vision: Bryan Lee on The Public Good

Join us tomorrow on The Public Good! Our guest tomorrow is Bryan Lee, curator at El Museo.

Bryan will talk about El Museo’s current exhibition about the history of Buffalo’s Shoreline Apartments, and give a recap of their recent symposium, which looked into the themes of architecture, urban renewal, housing, and preservation.

Shoreline: Remembering a Waterfront Vision, curated by Bryan Lee and Barbara Campagna, is an exhibition of drawings, photographs, documents, and artworks, spanning from the original vision of the Buffalo Waterfront Development in the 1960s to the eventual destruction of Shoreline in recent years. The exhibition materials, drawn from archival sources as well as artistic responses, trace the erosion of an architectural, urban, and social vision for Buffalo’s waterfront, one that was only ever partially realized.

And, be sure to tune in live on Power 96.5 WNY/Mix 1080AM at 10pm, and on PPG’s Facebook page at 1pm on Tuesday, November 12th. You won’t want to miss it!
