A complete count in the 2020 Census is essential to ensuring that congressional, state and local redistricting is fair and accurate and that communities receive the proper funding for local infrastructure and social services. But there are many challenges that may undermine the accuracy of the 2020 Census – including insufficient federal funding and a leadership vacuum at the Census Bureau.
The Partnership for the Public Good, Common Cause NY, and the NY Civic Engagement Table invite you to join us for a briefing regarding the 2020 Census. This discussion will center around the current challenges and what our communities can do to work towards an accurate Census.
What: 2020 Census Briefing
When: Friday, December 8, 2017. 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Lunch will be provided)
Where: Partnership for Public Good, 617 Main St., Suite 300 (Take elevator to 3R)
Please RSVP here, if you plan to attend.
Following our discussion regarding the census, we will have a short discussion regarding the potential for passing election reform in the upcoming state budget. Please feel free to stay for that discussion, or not, as your schedule permits.
You are welcome to share this invitation with others in your network. In the meantime, please reach out with any questions.
