Join us this week on The Public Good! We will be delving into Partnership for the Public Good's soon-to-be published report on the high rate of evictions in Buffalo with Sarah Wooton and Orlando Dickson who were lead contributors on the study. Evicted in Buffalo: the High Costs of Involuntary Mobility sheds light on the repercussions of evictions in areas such as employment, education, and health and also recommends solutions including helping tenants pay rent and access resources, increasing property owner accountability, and strengthening housing court.

PPG undertook this study for PUSH Buffalo to document the scope, nature, and costs of evictions in Buffalo and to suggest improvements to policies and programs in order to keep more families stably housed. The full report will be able to be accessed in the Buffalo Commons Library in January 2020.

And, be sure to tune in live on Power 96.5 WNY/Mix 1080AM at 10pm, and on PPG’s Facebook page at 1pm on Tuesday, December 10th. You won’t want to miss it!
