The Movement Party is back and better than ever! This year, the party will be hosted by and a fundraiser for the Crossroads Collective--an alliance of Buffalo residents, activists, artists, organizers, growers, and researchers, working to Flip the Switch and introduce a sustainable new economy, for people and profit.

In 2016, the Crossroads Collective built power and created a movement for a new economy for the people and planet. A few highlights include:

·         Led the charge locally for passage of the NYS Climate and Community Protection Act (CCPA), the most ambitious climate bill in the nation, through the New York State Assembly. (For more information, visit www.nyrenews.org.)

·         Hosted CommonBound 2016, a gathering of more than 900 leaders from across North America to discuss visionary strategies for achieving deep systemic change.

·         Organized hundreds of city residents to speak out against National Fuel’s proposed rate hike that would disproportionately affect communities of color and low-income folks.

To that end, The Movement 2016 is a celebration of our highest ideals and the continued fight for climate justice.

Again, it’s time to “Flip the Switch” on the old, extractive economy and invest in good jobs, and climate justice with 100% clean renewable energy. We hope you’ll join us on December 17th to learn more about these initiatives and to enjoy a night of local entertainment, dance, and drinks at this 21+ event.
