Community Groups to Unveil Policy Agenda for 2025

This year's public roll out of the Community Agenda will take place on Friday, January 17 at 10am, at the Buffalo State University Alumni & Visitor Center at 667 Grant Street, Buffalo, NY 14213.

Each year, Partnership for the Public Good invites our 370+ partner organizations to propose local and state policy changes that advance equality, sustainability, and cultural vibrancy in Buffalo Niagara. The partners take a vote, and the top ten proposals become the Community Agenda – PPG’s focus for the coming year.

The 2025 Community Agenda addresses important topics such as restoring Humboldt Parkway, ensuring community benefits for economic development subsidies, ending unfair suspensions in schools, funding the arts, and more.

Community advocates will share briefly why their proposed policy matters for our city and region, including East Side Parkways coalition leaders, Alia Williams of the Community Responders Coalition, Samantha White of the WNY Law Center, Rusty Weaver of Cornell ILR Buffalo, Jen Swan of Arts Services Inc., and others.

Elected officials will attend to speak in support of policy items, including:

  • NYS Senator April Baskin
  • NYS Senator Sean Ryan
  • NYS Assembly Member Jon Rivera
  • Buffalo Common Council Member Rasheed Wyatt
  • Buffalo Common Council Member David Rivera
  • Erie County Legislator Taisha St. Jean Tard
  • Erie County Legislator Lawrence Dupre
  • Buffalo Board of Education Member Cindi McEachon
  • Buffalo Board of Education Member Adrianna Zullich

This event is free and open to the public.

It will be livestreamed at facebook.com/PPGBuffalo.
