PUSH Buffalo’s Green Development Zone has won an international award and other acclaim for revitalizing a neighborhood with a unique blend of community organizing, policy advocacy, workforce development, green housing, and vacant lot renewal. In PPG’s latest report, we offer a detailed picture and analysis of how PUSH and its many allies have made this 25-block area a model for environmentally sustainable and economically just development. The report, PUSH Buffalo’s Green Development Zone: a Model for New Economy Community Development, was written by Skye Hart, a Cornell University High Road Fellow, and Sam Magavern, PPG’s executive director, with assistance from students at the University at Buffalo School of Law.
