Noah Berg won the Cornell University College of Human Ecology’s Community-Engaged Reflection Award for his work as a 2022 High Road Fellow with the Western New York Law Center (WNYLC).

Berg spent the summer working with the center’s Vacant and Abandoned Properties Team where he compiled a report “outlining the problem of vacant properties in Buffalo, its various negative impacts on the east side, and the work done by the Law Center to mitigate these issues”. By winning the award, the WNYLC will receive $1,000 in funding. You can read more about his achievement here.

The High Road Fellowship is a joint program of PPG and Cornell University ILR Buffalo Co-Lab. Each summer, we bring 20+ Cornell students to Buffalo to study local issues and serve as interns for PPG partners. Explore the summer 2023 High Road projects here.
