PPG Launches Making Change in Buffalo-Niagara: Local Advocacy Virtual Workshop Series

PPG is launching a new virtual workshop series on the local campaigns working for change in our region. Each session is one hour over lunch. You’ll learn about the issue, hear from the people leading the work, and leave knowing how to take action.

Creating a Human Rights Commission for the City of Buffalo
On November 3, Buffalo voters will decide whether to create an independent Human Rights Commission. It would hear, investigate, and monitor residents’ complaints about human rights harms, then push for policy change through reports and recommendations. Presented with the University at Buffalo’s Buffalo Human Rights Center.

EVICT ICE: Stop Leasing to ICE in Buffalo
ICE runs its Field Office and Upstate headquarters out of 250 Delaware Avenue, a building owned by Uniland Development. The lease ends March 31, 2027. The Evict ICE campaign is calling on Uniland not to renew it. Learn about the campaign and how to build community support.
