PPG Has Hired Two New Staff for 2026

Tabitha Wechter
Director of the Buffalo and Erie County Lead Safe Task Force

Tabitha collaborates with the many stakeholders invested in ending lead poisoning, including researchers, partner organizations, public administrations and affected communities. Through engagement, education, advocacy and policy change, the Task Force works to remediate the systemic dangers of lead pollution and poisoning.

Shontay Barnes
Advocacy and Impact Manager

Shontay leverages her expertise in participatory evaluation and strategic planning to set and monitor goals, as well as develop progress metrics for our Community Agenda advocacy and research. Shontay also fosters strong relationships with local organizations focused on community care, racial justice, abolition and carceral justice, arts and culture, and recreation.
