Sam Magavern serves as senior policy fellow at Partnership for the Public Good, which he co-directed or directed from its founding in 2007 through 2018. He teaches at the SUNY Buffalo Law School and the Cornell University ILR School. A graduate of Harvard University and the UCLA Law School, he serves as the attorney for the City of Buffalo Living Wage Commission and as a member of the Niagara River Greenway Commission. His publications range from scholarly articles to comic books, including a non-fiction book (Primo Levi's Universe), a novel (Ooh La La), a movie (The Last Word), and two books of poetry (Noah’s Ark and Ovid's Creek).
